25-Year Old Stitches

I had to chuckle when I suddenly remembered something I have in my 'saved treasures' closet to keep for grandchildren. This was a shirt I embroidered for my daughter (now 36) when she was about 7 years old. It was on chambray fabric and the enbroidery was done with DMC floss. I thought they were cute then, and I still think they are a really fun peek at childhood.

Well, dang! I sent a comment earlier this morning, but obviously it fizzled. Love the shirt and the fact that you still have it. It's great. I embroidered a work shirt a million years ago for my husband. If I can find it, I'll send in a pic. Such memories. What a great job you did.

Yeah, it's fun to still have it! I sent the other one to my 4 year old grandaughter (it was her mother's) for her birthday this month! She hasn't opened it yet!

What beautiful work - and the colors still look great today.

The shirt is great! My mother embroidered Hollie Hobby on a chambray shirt for me when I was a small girl!!
