Chinese Slippers from Adorn

I embroidered these Chinese slippers last year for the premiere issue of Adorn Magazine. They didn't take long to do and really look like spring.

I just found a great new blog called the Flickr Embroidery Blog. You all have got to check it out. It's being done by a few members of the Flickr Embroidery Group which is also definitely worth a peek. Maybe some of us should join this too!

Happy Spring!

These are delightful, Kristen! And "Mary Janes" are so very popular. I could see the same idea used on baby booties. The colors are refreshing. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanx for the heads up on the new embroidery blog, lots more inspiration. Love the slippers, also, thanks for the blurb re Adorn. I was not familiar with this magazine.

They are wonderful! I used to wear these slippers in High School but boy they did not look like these :)

These are great; M. Stewart has a variation in this month's issue, but using ribbon/tape (cheater!).

I love any and all variety of Mary-Janes, and have a few pair of this type, but, they are made from an Oriental tapestry type fabric.

Where do you find the plain ones??? I remember the back ones used to be everywhere, but now I can't find any.
